About Terra Linda
I have been working in gardens since I was 5: Wisconsin (thanks Dad), Wyoming, Oregon, New Mexico, and now Colorado.
In 2023 I completed my Masters of Ecopsychology from Naropa University. Master’s Thesis was on the potential psychological welbeing of greater tree cover in metropolitan areas. Case study: Denver Metropolitan Region
I love re-imagining spaces with my clients: making sure we have considered all possibilities and seeing landscapes mature over the years.
Wherever you are, know that your garden is contributing to the healing of our world.
In 2004 in Santa Fe, New Mexico,
after the birth of my first son, I realized that no one in my local, state or countrywide government was going to do enough to sequester carbon into the soil (thank you Elaine Ingram for all of your persistence and wisdom), and reduce greenhouse gases, so I began composting in earnest in my backyard. If my clients weren’t composting, I brought their yard waste home. My little “backyard business” grew to two trucks and eight crew members by 2016, and by then we had diverted hundreds thousands of gallons of rainwater feeding thousands of trees and acres of indigenous plants (thank you David Salman for all your enthusiasm). In 2018 I sold the maintenance part of the business and moved to Denver, CO to be closer to family, and now consult with home gardeners and permaculturists all over the world.
You know,
the principles of permaculture and sustainable agriculture are the same the world around, and our ever-shrinking planet is showing us how precious our resources are. Whether your canvas is 40 acres, a city lot, or an 8x10 patio, the nature you co-create can be beneficial AND beautiful. No matter where you are on the planet, we can all create together.
Testimonials
Terra has helped me with focus and the intelligence of the soil, the plantings, the water (saving), composting...in each step my production increased as well as the ease in managing the entire project. Always pleasurable to work with her depth of skill and lightness of Being. The entire process has been since 2020; a much needed healing to the land and of course, myself. Highly Recommend this Earth Magician!

She transformed our gardens by balancing a keen eye for native aesthetics with a pragmatic approach to budget and maintenance. Whether she is directing a team or teaching others the 'why' behind a plant, she doesn't just plant gardens; she builds ecosystems.
